Yes, your Volvo is toasted.
Well, I thought the van = but its too rusted, rust on top of van body where the strut is... I took it in cos brakes went to floor, instead of fixing them, they replaced brake lines, ... brakes went to floor again, now ..NOW they say gee it might be the master cylinder. I have had the shocks redone, the stablizers redone, and it needs the front struts, ... they say its the motor mount, the body is terribly rusted. My mom bought the van new, only little local errands, = only 72,000 miles, its ... not worth putting more $ into it. ????? I put over $700, and it needs over $600 ( I think the brakes will be more than $200?) just to try to fix things, that will cause rust to come off. I love my Volvo, why I did not try to sell it. (Love my Mom, but I have learned over the yrs,... her way if being doesn't always help me... this time, danger van?!)... Love the van, Dodge caravan. My Moms van... but if Volvo is toasted, lol, maybe just kill myself. My credit card would cover that. LoL! :-)
Dodge Caravan Strut towers can be repaired or replaced in some cases. It's always the drivers side due to the location of the battery.

Yeah!!!! :-) I called car insurance, since they provide the emergency road service .... and they are going to contact road service, and call me back. He agreed the road service dude should have double checked for the plus, minus things. ...» Hopefully this won't cost me a ton!«. And hopefully it can be fixed,= all you found, plus battery!!?! Junk yard for parts (but not battery), so I have heard. Oh wow, my dear Volvo, I (don't lol) have been in tears!. Thanks for yr help. I need to know what to watch as mechanic is doing the "repairs"!
I've had good luck with junkyard batteries that are less than 3 years old.
Oh, ok! :-)

Hi,
Update, and more suggestions needed.

The Volvo was fried. The whole wire harness was toasted, those parts not made anymore.... AAA will not tow to junk yards...

The van I sent to HERITAGE Chev dealer. They said over $1600 to $2000 to redo brakes. The brakes were frozen. charging me $40 to check. AAA would not tow cos the van could be fixed but I could not afford it. I explained mechanic said the van was so rusted, and 20 yrs old, it just wasn't worth fixing. AAA would not tow to diff mechanic, my house, nor junk yard. Read the fine print, .... & don't except any help. They want more money too.

I ended up having a junk yard come fetch both van and Volvo. AAA was no, none, NADA help. (I sort of wanted the cars back here so I had them for proof as I find lawyer... but I do have pictures.)

Meanwhile, I get the paperwork filled out, mechanics estimate... Reminding StateFarm and their road service,... it took them long time to get me the forms, this happened middle of Sept 2017..... !!

Agero the road service denied me any help Oct 2018. Stating the spark from the closed cable touching the battery caused the damage. I could not get the cable on, the Agero road service pounded them on. No replacement for battery cos they told me the battery was the original to the van. I know my Mom replaced the battery, ... it was very clean, and looked very new cos she said she had had it replaced, but no receipt. So I have no proof, no way to prove that one spark that caused me to stop and get help rehooking battery up into the Volvo, did not destroy the car to start with. I contacted the mechanic who checked the Volvo, but she doesn't want to get involved again cos State Farm made her look like a fool and she was horribly confused. I was embarrassed and mad too. ..I asked the State Farm to plz explain, they went silent. And they will not sent me the forms Agero says I need from them to contest Ageros decision.

I am stranded out here in a contry settling, in a not good, situation, with a credit card. And no one takes Discover or Paypal to buy a ok used car. I am not in the best of health... I had been searching for better place to move. My house in moving type messy mess.

So far have not found a lawyer to sue State Farm/Agero. The lady from Agero, who denied me, on the phone, said have the lawyer call her. Later some dude from Agero called, said they are not responsible cos they outsourse the jobs. And I have that number, but have not called...

And if I don't stop telling everyone State Farm & Agero did this to me, Agero threathened to sue me for libel... I keep telling myself suicide is not ok, my cats need me, my friends love me, ... I won't be totally alone once my Mom dies.

Should I try a gofund me site? How do I beg online for help?

Gosh avoid State Farm.
If they know you are single, not much money, ill, they do not care. They are not nice "helping neighbors", whatever their slogan is. They are mean, non caring creeps..........busy... Paying settlements for illegally giving money to republican politicians and giving money to the fires in Paradise California. (Search online, and twitter donation thing connected to retweeting only. One retweet equals one dollar.)

As I sit here very sick, knowing my only way out is to die. I am stranded. My elderly Mom is finally stable after blood clots, pneumonia, close to death, but not ok, cant walk hardly, last I was with her before State Farm/Agero blew up my car... she could out walk me... My mom has dementia now too. She thinks I just refuse to come to her. She very nicely told me I am going to hell and shes sorry we didn't get much time together. So, I am going to use the credit card, rent car and go. See how much it costs, so far for one day, .... its not cheap. And I will have to drive back to return it. 4/5 hr round trip.

Oh, StateFarm/Agero, also said the Volvo was very old,... too old, too damaged due to age and being parked for 3 yrs as I drove the rusted van.... but I had that car since 2001, I finally had the money to replace the fuel pump things and tir rods. In the past,....I had to park it til I could afford the whole brake system. It sat for over 2 yrs at one time, never being started, but soon as I had the $, I drove it to get the brakes fixed, the Volvos always started, bo matter what, no matter how long they were parked,... the oil was fine, it had just been changed, the Volvo was fine.... But,...Agero says my 1990 sat here for 3 yrs = it was trashed, .I can't prove I started it, I can't prove I drove it a tiny bit while it was not insured. (I cannot prove my older 1978 Volvo sat for over 5 yrs without being started and started right up. Drove down the road after I sold it too.) Volvos are quite the cars. They never stop...

Ok, sorry I am very emotional. I have more lawyers to try tomorrow. But .... do you guys have any words of wisdom?

No BBB won't help, they don't get involved in disputes,...

Thanks

I would think Agero would still be liable for damage, even though they subcontracted. Sue Agero, let Agero go after the subcontractor.

Ok, thanks, I think so too. And lawyer might have some clout. They are all males, no nonono, go away or we will sue you!!!!......i replied, . Bring it on. Easier for me to find a free lawyer, plx do sue me cos you blew up my car and now say I am lying about it! Oh yes now you sue me over this, ... This is crazy insane. Insurance companies such as State Farm, are not there to protect you.
