He has never responded to my email, adressing some issus I have with the exhaust pipe not being installed properly after they installed a new generic cathalytic converter. Instead of putting on a proper Volvo flange on the converter, they've tried to make a home-grown connection between converter and the pipe to the muffler. It's leaking and it's much louder than I care for. In my world, if you put on a new exhaust system, it shouldn't be leaking/noisy from day 1. I wonder if I can make a better connection with something like this and a bit of exhaust paste?:

On a brighter note, today I took deliverance of a brand spanking new cast-iron exhaust manifold to replace the old one I had welded that has sprung another leak. Bought it in Holland from nordicar.nl as they claimed it to be Volvo OEM, not a Scan-Tech product like my local Volvo parts pusher sells. Plus, it was $100 cheaper even with shipping. The wrapping states it was manufactured in Sweden and on first glance it looks flawless. I'll drop it in on the weekend. Probably going to clean off the protective oil sheen they put on, rather than letting it be burnt off while driving. If time permits, I'll also be hunting down the knock-sensor wiring problems I'm experiencing.
Then it's inspection time!
