Replacement CV boots for crenulated retainer? Topic is solved

If there's an Advance Auto parts store near you, it might be worth taking your vin number to them as a means of identifying the correct boot made by GKN/Lobro. Advance owns Worldpac, a worldwide distributor of aftermarket parts. Worldpac might be able to get a match for you. You need to order through Advance b/c Worldpac only supplies retailers.

I got a close fit through them for my 93 850. I had to stretch the cv end of the outer boot probably 3/8" to get it on and then the supplied clamp was too small.

I was able to use a clamp from another kit—a nuisance but so far it has worked okay.
