My experience with original struts on two different P80s at 250,000km is that they ride very harsh over road imperfections, even 1" dips like for manhole covers are pretty jarring.

I know shipping is a bear to Canada, but FCP has a reasonable price on a pair of Sachs struts and spring seats and then the lifetime warranty. Your friends at Rock Auto have some shocks there including front and rear Sachs shocks/struts.

Pull the carpet up and look at the shock mounts, it is very common for these to be broken. Leads to teeth-jarring ride (even more than usual).
