Whomever finds a set should get a few medals!

After some point in time, this older literature should be freely available, imho. Very seldom do older Volvos go to dealerships, and even if one showed up, most all mechanics would be clueless.

Irony here is there are several databases for mechanics that have these diagrams available, for a monthly fee.

Unfortunately it's been down for some time now. Somebody had archived it all on his server, but that's gone now too.

I know where some of it is located....he did have post 1993 wiring diagrams there, and I suspect Volvo was upset.

I wouldn't think Volvo would be upset about Redblock era and earlier years...just the newer diagrams

Considering the newest P80s are over 20 years old, I too think all the service literature should be made freely available. Volvo made all the money they were ever going to make on the P80s. I'm sure many dealers now just offer trade in value whenever someone brings in a broken 850.

Front line OEM dealers normally dump older vehicles at auto auctions, exporters, or sell them to Mexican buyers. There are states that have lemon laws, and these dealers don't want to deal with these headaches.

Many years ago, dealers would send old vehicles to scrap metal yards, to be crushed. Used car prices have increased, so these go to auto auctions, export dealers, or Mexican buyers.

When trading in, a dealer is not giving a real value...its bogus.
