I after sitting for a very long time my '98 stumbled on start up and threw the misfire code once with no issues. Reset, all was fine. I bet she is fine and these parents just aren't familiar with the Volvo.

Well I actually have an update.
Pretty sure the 04 is a scam.
Looked at the 98 and it was beautiful inside and out. Amazing interior, I mean it looked almost brand new. But the motor was toast. It wasn't a single cylinder misfiring it was multiple. It didn't have the bottom part of the airbox that holds the air filter. Etc etc etc. I'm going out of town the week after next so I guess my car search will be on hold till after then.
