Remember if it is SWMBO's car, never comment that "it looks like your back end is hanging a bit low". The potential for misunderstanding is high, the concomitant misery long-lasting, and the ability to recover almost nil.

I've been using these rivets for my cars. Regular ones work, but the plastic-coated ones are nice.

I understand that it is the NUTs which are welded to the car.
This makes it necessary to get the correct matching bolt diameter & thread.
The size of the head is irrelevent.

I don't know if the welded bolts are accessible enough to use a tap+die to change the thread. If they are deep inside that beam, might not be able to reach them.

Wish I'd seen this a few days ago! Those are very close to original if not the same, and are a good price.

I need to do a bunch of riveting across the P80 fleet this fall, bought these they are half the price even of the eBay ones but not exactly the same style https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H8 ... UTF8&psc=1. Hopefully they will last.

I know the GM rivets work great in this application since I've bought them from other vendors and used them on the P80s. However I don't know yet about the quality of these ones from Rexka, they haven't arrived yet. Hopefully just fine we will see.

I'll be interested to see how those work, also.

I need to replace inner fender liners and a driver rocker cover on the 854, but I should have plenty of the plastic-coated ones on-hand for that.

Yup, those will work.
Actually no - I looked at those when I was shopping and don't think they will work.

If the picture is accurate they are not split rivets, just standard. You really want split rivets in this application.

Well, what I ordered is the 979878. What exactly is a split rivet?
