To redo PCV or not?

Alright well based on this feedback I think I will just wait until the PCV system seems to show signs of needing replacement and might return the kit in the meantime. The car has lived a life of 5k dino or semi oil changes. I just switched it over to full synthetic (Napa 5w-30) and am thinking I'll switch to one of the "euro" 0w-40 oils (castrol or mobil 1) at the next change.

This bring up an interesting question though as the IPD kit for my car is significantly cheaper than the FCP kit, why is this?

The FCP Kit is all (mostly) Genuine Volvo parts. The IPD kit looks to be using aftermarket hoses and possibly other aftermarket parts. Blue box parts always cost the most, and with FCP you get a lifetime warranty.
