VIDA 2014D Communication Tool Error

Hi team, I have the Communication Tool error and have been scouring the forums for 3 days and have not been able to get the tool to connect. The drivers are installed and the DICE hardware shows connected in Device Manager however in VIDA 2014D the Communication Tool window is blank. I have tried everything I can think of but came up stumped. Wondering if anyone here might have some additional insight?
Ran the Patch
Ran the Registry tools
Verified IE 9

Some history. I had 2014A installed and working with this tool on this computer. I ran into the issue with the expiry date however I had already started down the path of installing 2014D and have it up and running on the machine - just no connectivity to the tool.

You must select 'Internet Explorer compatible mode' NOT 'Microsoft edge' from the button Left to 'profile mode' and Vida will work fine, will appear the 'Comunnication tool' tab and you will see the Dice diagnostic tool or vxdiag.
