I change my power steering fluid. I did it in my 97 854GLT because the steering was starting to feel gritty, and I did it in my recently acquired 2006 S60 2.5T AWD simply because I'd just bought it, and decided to replace every fluid in the car as a matter of principle.

I highly recommend replacing fluids that are in any way suspect, including simple unknown history.

I used volvo ps fluid. It was some weird greenish color.
