does window on xc 2002 fit v70 2004?

I think for the most parts, glass in P2 (V70, S60) fits all the years of P2.

I had the opposite problem in 2018, as soon as I bought my 2004 V70 with 100K miles and as I drove out of the used car dealer lot, the LF glass refused to go up. I tried but it was crooked then cracked.
A trip to junk yard to get a glass from 2003 S60 and it fit well.

As it turned out, the Volvo dealers replaced the 2 BLUE plastic clips on the passenger side one yr prior, in 2017.
They never replaced the BLUE plastic clips for the LF.

Anyway, I replaced the LF and RF Blue clips. All is well now.
You should replace the blue clips on your LF side.

I think the blue plastic clips should be a maintenance items at 90K-100K.
Cheap insurance.

PS: Nothing worse than let's say you need to catch a flight, on the way to the airport, the glass refuses to go up (or cracked).
Now you are screwed...

Yeah, that’s a good point on the regulator sliding blocks. Check the straightness of the regulator arms as well. They bend pretty easy.
