does window on xc 2002 fit v70 2004?

I broke my passenger window when the latch came undone and on trying to hold the window in place the arm, pushed it up or got caught somehow and cracked it.
The scrap yard has a place where you can pick up any part for $20 but they only have a V70 XC 2002.
I'm wondering if the window on that or even the entire door would fit a V70 2004?

yes but there are standard glass and double pane. The 02 may have the double pane but it still works but is maybe 2 mm thicker. The std will break into crumbles since it is tempered. The double pane is regular glass that breaks into longer shards but is stuck to the binding plastic sheet and is harder for carjackers to break and threaten you.

Is the whole door the same (including electronic connections), because I could possibly ust remove the whole thing from the scrap yard

Entire door will fit, but exterior trim is very different.

And the door module probably has to be moved between the doors.

The window swap is a relatively easy affair iirc.

Window swap isn't too bad. Done one. Too bad it isn't your passenger side window. I have a rusted passenger front door that I removed from Ruby Red that has a good window glass in it.

I read this title as "Does a window from a BMW 2002 fit a V70....??" Sorry, lack of reading comprehension on my part!

I did this exact thing to my drivers window. Had Safelite replace it and it was way more than a windshield due to supply & demand. It was a surprise. My 2004 was a laminated safety glass.

This is where access to a yard really pays off. I bought a complete door $35, just for the glass. Easier to remove the old window with the used door laying flat on the kitchen counter (i.e., mechanic's workbench) as well.

Tough crowd down there, jimmy. I’ve heard they have been jacking the waterfall grills of cars at lights, but interestingly no interest in the egg crates

My '04 window was double pane.
