M56 = FWD 5-speed (Shares the 'guts' with the RWD M90)
M58 = AWD 5-speed (a M56 with an angle drive)
M59 = FWD 5-speed (a M56 with LSD (Limited Slip Differential not Lysergic Acid Diethylamide))
M65 = FWD 5-speed (S80-only, unicorn rare) (Compact design for use with the 2.9L)

Want to shoehorn a twin turbo 2.9L into your P2, A M65 will provide the room to do so if you can find one.

I know this is nearly 3yo but.... At least it's not a drug-induced trans or a high trans. It would rev too much and leave you stranded on the road at 3am with a financial headache when you wake up at 11am. XP

I’ve never got this change to manual swap. Feels like the car value would depreciate but I assume it’s the opposite. I’m getting too old I guess.

I don't know about the value depreciating, but I would definitely consider it a theft deterrent...almost no one knows how to drive stick anymore!
If I had the time/space/$, I would do this in a heartbeat.

Traffic here makes a manual undesirable. Sitting on the freeway in gridlock working that clutch , ugh!
But keep on converting, hopefully we’ll be at a turning point where automatics rise in value because there hardly aren’t any left
