Also said that the cooling system had an air bubble that was causing the sensor to read low fluid level....
Both are nonsense. The dealer is taking you for a ride or it is gross incompetence.

Volvo batteries are good quality but they are lead acid batteries just like any other brand.

Bubbles in the cooling system will not cause the sensor to read low unless it cause the level in the reservoir to go low.

It's been weeks now. Dealer has replaced the thermostat looked at what they say is everything... Car still reporting overheating. Replaced the water pump... I'm leaning towards a warped head...which is allowing anti freeze to enter cylinder on the intake stroke. But this is strange. The anti freeze reservoir is draining down to where the sensor says it needs more anti freeze, when the cap is removed to the reservoir for some strange reason it has air pressure in the reservoir then fills up with anti freeze coming from somewhere. driving my sister nuts Any one ever seen this before

This was a good read, thanks. Quacks can sometimes be right? is there white smoke from the tailpipe, i think the cylinder is pressurizing the coolant.

After several months of taking it to the Volvo dealer. Maybe, now it's resolved. All is covered under her maintaince contract that was purchased when she got the car from a used car lot. The dealer has finally taken the head off of the engine, in doing so found that the head bolts were loose, After replacing the head gasket and torquing the head bolts correctly it seems to be corrected, but it's only been about 2 weeks, so we will have to see what happens.
