Thanks for the follow up on the Denso Plugs.
I run mine at .040"
In later years Denso shows a gap of .028" (Actually 0.8 mm which is .031")
The later twin tip plugs are used in the 3.2 and the 3.0T
For Turbo applications a smaller gap is typically used because the boost increases the needed Voltage at the coil. The smaller gap reduce the voltage requirement to form a good spark.
I am replacing plugs every 50,000 miles.
For my 3.2' I own
2008 LR2 3.2
2010 S80 3.2
