Good ole volvo couldn't stay happy for long. It must know it's getting bruced soon enough with a different drivetrain.

Replacing the NSS and not by choice, I figured it'd be wise to have a spare preowned one on hand if mine wasn't salvageable.
getting dirty in the repair, I've found that age trumps all when it comes to plastic stuff in automotive parts.
Presprayed all connections as well as hardware. Let it sit. Respray, meanwhile brushing blowing debris away. Ready to separate the NSS... lol not so fast! Oh snap! That's what the main harness connector did. Story of my life. Have a pre wedding thing to help with tomorrow. Looks like uber will be my ride since I've loaned out the spare vehicle.

Thanks for reading!

We really need to get rid of abbreviations on this forum. What did you guys do with all of the time you saved from not typing those words out?

Would not have believed it if it weren't for me doing the replacement...

Removed the old part, repinned in a better main connector, installed the new switch and upon first go around; fired up without any redo's needed.

I'm playing the lottery and having a beverage of choice. Still resuming my search for that v50/v70. Poor 850 is losing to the salt war.

Feel free to use the report button to flag these since the violate Forum rules on text talk.

We do try to practice using Acroynm " first use" rule, where , on a per thread basis,
we define Acroynms without Definition ( AWODs)

:D

Technical abbreviations are in resources, of course.
