98 xc Engine Tranny removal help

Dude that looks cool! Yeah cutting that would be a good idea. I probably want to turn my car around before suspension removal so the decline will help me pull the engine away at the end. Or I can keep the car where it is and drop the engine and rely on gravity to roll the car back a bit. I guess I need to unbolt the bottom tranny bolts so I only have to do the sides and top when the engine drops down

Once upon a time I used a tow truck to lift out the engine on my MGB. I think it cost all of $ 20 to have it lifted out and set down on the ground on an old tire. Might be worth a call, or better yet stop in to a towing shop and ask in person.

You can load a beam with 500# of engine in a garage , too. A come along will do it nicely
