Help identify engine (or tranny) part

Post by Lucas2T »

Hello all

This is my first post so i'll start with introducing myself.
My name is Lucas and Im from the Netherlands. I own an emerald green 850 t-5r, a 2000 suzuki alto, street legal honda cr500 supermoto armstretcher and a bunch of two stroke mopeds.

Some time ago my 850's AT trans blew up. From out of nowhere it started to make some realy nasty noises and not much later it didn't wanna move anymore. After pulling the trans and taking it apart i found all the planetary gears where completely chewed up and nearly all the teeth broken off...dunno what cause it but it needed a new trans.

Image

So after I replaced the trans and put everyting back in the car I have this one remaining bracket and i can't seem to find where it goes. So i was hoping some of you guys can help me out?

I thought I was in the game until I saw that big red X on the alternator bracket ...

Hehe goddamn. I've been searching myself useless scrolling through tons of pics hoping to find that bracket somewhere in a corner of some engine swap thread. All the time thinking i still have one up my sleeve if i cant find it...MVS

Or maybe my buddy tried being funny and throw some random part in my bucket where i keep the nuts and bolts...

Don't know what it is, but it looks like a locking tab or possibly a bracket to hold a wiring harness connector?

That looks like some sort of secondary lock that keeps something (hose, bolt, notched shaft?) from either pulling out or unscrewing. Looks important. What/where I cant seem to find either.
