Re: Late P80 NA muffler options, discussion
I am missing the pipe from muffler to end of car. I’m getting a bad sound box effect in the back except at highway speeds. These cars drive too nicely to be loud. One of the still home kids has exquisitely sensitive hearing and suffers when mufflers dropped ( she can double talk , and learns languages in about three days listening to tapes)

More important than the sound, that pipe has to get the scorching hot exhaust gas out from under the car. My exhaust pipe tip fell off at some point and by the time I realized, the exhaust gas had melted the bumper cover around the exhaust arc a little and melted the foam core within a lot.
Until I got a replacement, I had hoped "Well, if I drive fast enough, the air under the car will blow away the hot exhaust and stop melting my bumper." I still wonder why that V70 ate exhausts, rusting them out at the pipe welds. I think the cat had failed, sending through gas which was too hot. It killed an OEM exhaust in just a few years.

been there did this, after the walker rotted out in 2 years I bought the FCP option...
Now if I can only find someone who can weld the pipe correctly so the exhaust leak will finally stop.
