Mold smell when I roll down front windows

I assume the headliner is the fabric, so recovering it seems to mean replacing all of the fabric on the roof.

The headliner is covered with fabric. The fabric can be removed and replaced. Lots of people DIY the fabric replacement. You need to have at least a little bit of an artist in you to get it right. If you take the headliner out and take it to a upholstery shop expect a bill of $150 - $300.

Thanks you both, this is great information. I don't see mold on the fabric, so it's probably on the flattened foam part.

When it rains, water puddles up on the front corners of the sunroof, as shown by the dried remains in the attached picture. By sitting there, water must have worked its way under the rubber and ruined the metal frame around the glass. From inside, I have seen it leaking in from those corners and can feel it slightly damp there. Maybe I can find an entire used sunroof panel with no rust, perhaps by calling Eerie Vovo.
