I just went and grabbed a napa axle. Already replaced it, I'll hold onto mine to see about finding someone to rebuild it if possible. (seems to ride ok so far)
I haven't cut the boot off yet but at this point it really doesn't matter..

Glad to hear you found a solution. Napa axles can be hit or miss, but I did have one on a 97 NA 850 and it is still on my nieces' car 4 years later.

I like the Nugeon branded calipers from Napa. The P80 ones I have had seem to be well refurbished with decent parts and not pot-metal slider pins!
