Appreciate the advice. When it comes to weight loss, I have tried many, many diets, and don't eat a lot of sugary sweet things other than fruit. Tried a high protein diet and gained weight! Portion control and potato chips (starch) is the biggest issue.

It is difficult. Stored fats are reserves for lean times. You need to starve the body before will start burning stored fats. Hard to do in a world of abundance. Unless it gives you health issues, If you are comfortable with the way you are ... screw anybody that tells you it is not right.
You need to read the ingredient list. They are adding sugar to a lot of things and Sugar goes by many names.

Seriously: Low Carb dropped 15 pounds of my fat in 2 months. Eating steak all the time gets boring, though.
