Yes. If you go that way - clean the guides as best as you can, degrease and press new seals dry, only lube valve stems lightly. Many folks have had their new seals coming off, because oil gets between valve guides and the seals. Cylinder head has a lot of oil in and around valve tappets area, that's a lot of cleaning work. If seal comes off, the oil consumption would be even greater than with the old worn seal.
Also don't use any glue, most of them degrade under high temperature and serve as a lube.
Or you can wait for the burnt valve and do the job on the bench, with a clean and dry cylinder head =)
