Also be careful with the engine braking if it's slippery since that doesn't have any ABS.

Did the heater core junction box bypass today on the R. Just have to wrap some things up in the morning, but I've really happy with how it turned out!
I used 5/8" silicone heater hose and ordered some ABA hose clamps from eEuro (yes, there's a BIG difference between these and the cheap auto store hose clamps!). I reused the original 90 degree brass/copper elbows to allow for better fitment.
We'll see tomorrow for sure that everything fits! Seemed to clear the intake elbow when I test fit it.

Making some progress in my fog lights blowing the fuse diagnosis. With just one side plugged in, the fuse would still blow. Now have been driving around with the fog lights on and neither side plugged in, and have yet to blow the fuse. Thinking it's time to make a closer examination of the fog light assemblies themselves.

Finished up the heater hoses today. Everything fits beautifully!

I also installed do88 expansion tank hoses and cleaned out the expansion tank. Someone added some stop leak to the cooling system at some point... I guess the radiator was leaking before, and when I flushed it out it loosened up that nasty stuff.

Got underneath my '99 S70 using my new ramps from HF (with wheel chocks and jack stands of course), and discovered the source of my oil leak (well, one of them anyway!).

Looks like the turbo drain gaskets. My independent mechanic installed new ones about 2.5 yrs ago. I guess they didn't hold so good. I read in a thread that a similar thing happened to another guy. He put on new aftermarket gaskets....failed after about 2 years. I'm thinking I'll put on the gaskets that come in the IPD kit they sell.

I can't tell if that's the lip on the hose or the o-ring I'm seeing on the bottom of the drain pipe, but if it's the o-ring, someone put it in there wrong. Which would explain the leak!

Its been a few months since I last updated, but just had the bumper redone after hitting a raccoon wrecked it back in December. I now have over 9000km on the manual swap that I finished in June, and the car has been virtually trouble-free!

The black part of the bumper had looked like crap since I got the car, I didn't have time to fix it at the same time that I repaired the red portion, so it looked like this

Then I hit a raccoon and re-broke it all :(

All fixed!! Front end finally looks as it should! So happy with it now

Got a lot done yesterday and today. Patched up the tattered leather on the driver's seat (topic to follow), fixed some broken trim pieces, replaced the ATF in the power steering (mine was brown-red), picked up more parts to finish some other projects, and think I tracked down the fault in my fog lights. All is now ready for my 400 mile road trip this week.
