Remember the throttle needs adaptation as it never had voltage.

Did you clear codes?
I checked the relay old fashion way; gave 12 volts to the magnet poles and a: heard the click b: measured a continuity on the other two poles. It is working I am sure.
MAF has 12V
TB does not

According what I have read here, Bosch ETAs auto set after 20 seconds of key on position 2.

I clear the codes and click read vehicle I do >update data.

draser,

All these measuring come with needle stuck in lieu of connector's pin. the connectors are not yet attached. The reason is I want to also check the integrity of the connectors (pull hard and wires gives up). Also this was my first step of checking.

re MAF I have 12V on pin2 - and - 5V on pin4 (unconnected)
On ET I get 3V, 0V, 5V, 3V, 0V, 3V

I did the job of cleaning in two days in an older mechanic's shop who kind of supervised me;
after each step I asked him to have a look and check my work.

If I have to do it again.... no, forget, not if I absolutely no other choice.

I first tested FMA2, then switched FMA2 and FMA4.

Now that ECM is reinstalled does relay show voltage at output side on both relays now that they're swapped?

FMA2
Yes, 12V between the pole and car ground

FMA4
Yes
Starter relay. And yes the engine cranks and starts.
So this is yes too.

Ok, so what we know so far is:
1 - we have continuity from MAF and ETA to ECM
2 - relay 2/32 or FMA2 works, as there's voltage on the top left fuses (of the diagram) and engine starts
3 - have 12v and the 5v on MAF
4 - still no 12v on ETA and same Vida readings
5 - not sure if we have full 12v on ECM pin B11 (we never checked that?), and if ECM grounds at A53, A54 and A63 are good.

Chances are that the ETA driver stage of ECM is gone. I'd recommend to have Xemodex test the ECN to confirm - or deny. Not sure how the economics of this works vs. a new ECM. While ECM is removed I'd test for 12v on B11 and grounds on the A pins above - before sending ECM out.
What do you guys think?

I had checked these before (recently I guess)
pin B11 on ECM has 12V
pin A17 on ECM has NOT

Please see first post on this page. Need to make sure we have steady 12v on both A17 and B11.
