What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Back on topic, yesterday swapped the winters onto the P2 as well as the tailgate Stabilus struts. What a stupid design. You have to remove 4 flimsy pieces of plastic just to get access. Love doing that on a 15 year old car!

Today cleaned the summer tires and rims and put away in their covers.

While I was at it a buddy dropped by to get me to plastic weld a center cap for his Mercedes ML winter rims having dropped a rim on it cracking it in 4 places. It is now solid to return to service.

When I first seen that picture as a kid, I ask my mom if he use to be a little different. I thought it was a Skirt.

Saab is a lot more into military weapons platforms. I don't know of any weapon platform by Volvo. But ... Volvo AME will give you a $500 bonus incentive on the purchase or lease of a new Volvo if you are Active-duty, Reservists, National Guard member, or a Veteran within 3 years of discharge date. Valid in the US only.

There was a range of Volvo military vehicles back in the 60s, 70s and early 80s based on the same platform. Volvo L3314. Collectively known as Laplanders.

Didn't some division of Volvo make fighter jets back in the 70's? I seem to remember a car ad showing fighters to demonstrate the technology of the cars.

If it was in the 70s it could not of been a Gripen. The Gripen was introduced in 1987. Could be a Saab 35 Draken or a Saab 37 Viggen.

The Saab Gotland, Södermanland and Blekinge class submarines with the Stirling engines is what turns my head. They are so stealth that in war games they slip through the US Navy defenses.

Any production Stirling engine is interesting because of the level of thermodynamic engineering required.
