Earlier in the week or last week - not sure which, I went about replacing the oil cooler seals that connect it to the oil pan. After many utterances of foul language, it was discovered that the damper for the angle gear has THREE bolts, not two securing it.

Special thanks for the guy that was able to get the 3rd nut free. Suffice it to say that third nut intentionally got misplaced...

Yep, CHF11S is power steering fluid. My Saab 9-3 took that stuff, as does the XC90.
I thought it was brake fluid too at first glance!

Got my Coopers mounted today and aligned the front end. The R made it back and forth no problem at all! She’s running really well and it almost feels like it’s starting to boost in first gear. Unfortunately when I was doing pulls and noticed it felt better, it was dark and I didn’t put the backlight in my boost gauge yet, so I don’t know if it was making much at all.
I need to mount it still, but I really love this new old stock VDO boost gauge I just got!

I think clutch in resistance on that switch is 2000-2500 Ohms
I confirmed in an earlier thread that this is an analogue input and that the state of the switch is not logic latched in any way
Good info, I’ll have to check which wires I bridged to get the car to crank. I did a LOT of wiring work on this car, including a lot of unnecessary auto trans wiring removal (but it makes me feel better). I ran the wires from the B15 terminal and the B4 wire. I added the pin to B15 (had a spare from a TCM connector I removed) and I spliced the B4 ground wire in with a vampire connector. I just ran the wires into the car via the passenger firewall grommet. A lot easier to get to than I was anticipating, so that’s always good!
At some point over the next couple days I’ll try to get the clutch switch hooked up. I grabbed one from the junkyard from an S60 but I have an 850 master cylinder, so I’ll have to get creative with mounting the switch.

I think the clutch switch just clips the pedal and a nub on the firewall which I’m sure your car will have..

For wcm, yeah that bolt sure sucked. Upside down, under car, working with a mirror and light blind, with a M8 on only one combo of stub and wobble that would fit in space. Ugly,

Yeah, it has a little nub on the firewall part of the master cylinder and another on the white plastic rod. I cut the nub from the junkyard so I could see if I could make it work with mine, since my 850 master cylinder doesn't have the nub on the rod. I tried to unscrew it from the actual rod on the cylinder, but I take it it doesn't unscrew.

Obviously the S70, being the only non estate (-ish, in the BMWs case). ;-)

The solution to the problem of Volvos overfilling the driveway is obvious..
