I was planning on doing the intake mod.
As far as the 960 throttle mod. I have not read up on it. could you provide a link??? preferably with a walkthrough?

I live in FL so im sure the flap removal wouldnt hurt my car.
I did both at the same time on my S70. I got the improved throttle response and no change in MPG.

Here is a lengthy thread about the throttle plate. Enjoy :)

Rob, I'm driving a GLT as well and despite not being turboed (sp?) they do go pretty fast. Going down to Texas last sring I had my car full with 4 people and A LOT of luggage, and I could easily push a 100. As far as putting a turbo on our cars it doesn't make sense for at least 2 reasons: 1. the compression ratio in our engines is almost 11-1 which is incredibly high. If you were to turbo our engine they would literally explode from the pressure. 2. the cost of a turbo by itself is around a few thousand dollars. If you have that money to spend anyway, I wish I did :( , then just buy an 850 turbo or t5r :D lol

Safety and Emissions inspection was $285 this year.
Next one will require front discs and maybe calipers.

Engine and transmission are tops. I back off at 105mph or so, and it's in 3rd gear.
The little things are going, and I've not bothered to chase after them.
Rear right console window switch intermittent, EVAP code, vacuum leak, creaks and groans, etc.

I was able to reach 140mph in my 96 855 Turbo with no passengers or cargo. This was with a bone stock car. On a straight stretch of highway, it took a while and kept jumping in and out of overdrive but it is very possible. How I wish I had a 5 speed tranny. Auto's are for girls!!

563 miles on a tank!?!? Jeez! The most I've ever gotten was 400...highway...running on E. My little Honda would easily push 450 on 12.5 gallons (and keep going). It also weighed nothing and had under 100 hp though

I've gotten 31+ mpg on extended highway driving.
The new fuel pump starts sucking fumes when there is three gallons in the tank, as opposed to the old one, which would pull fuel down to the last gallon.

So maximum mileage per tank is a dream for me. PITA, actually.
