Mmmm I can tell you from a programmer's perspective that's do-able, but not easily do-able. If I had to take a wild guess I'd say it's on their chalkboard list of to-do's for a future version of the software.
It's not an easy thing to do because Tapatalk would have to look inside the text of each post for links, then determine if it's an internal link, and if it is, give it special stays-in-Tapatalk treatment. Also it would have to determine if it's an internal forum link or just an internal link to any old web page on the domain, say, a link to a page in the Volvo Repair Database, which in the case of this website is outside the forum.
