Do NOT buy the aftermarket heater core at FCP

I own a business myself. As such, I very much appreciate the swiftness with which you responded to this post and the concern you expressed. It's beginning to look, however, like the higher ups are wanting to make this an operator error type of situation. Which, again, I can understand. Some of my clients are so brain-dead it's a wonder they can tie their shoes in the morning. And these are very successful people!

Here are two pictures of the rupture, at the top of the core, at a corner (a notorious weak spot in casts). I encourage you to draw your own conclusions as to whether this was an operator error, or a manufacturing error.

Had my core replaced at a Volvo tech shop in town. Bought the core from FCP. Looked just like that after 1 week. Shop was kind enough to warranty the core even though I purchased elsewhere. They used 2 other cores ( both lasted exactly 1 week ) by the same manufacturer before going with a BEHR unit. The owner of the shop told me that there was a bad part run by the manufacturer. My 18y/o stepson can attest to the HOTNESS involved with a bursting heater core.

Not only is it HOT as Hades, it's shocking and disorienting at the same time.
