For sure you are going to need to fix absolutely every vacuum leak. Very likely there are old and rotting rubber hoses.

If the temp gauge doesn't go up the 3:00 position fairly quickly (5-10 minutes and stay there) you will need a new thermostat

By " cold blooded", I meant on cold days do they have a hard time starting ? It just seems when I first start it. It spits an sputters till th engine warms up. Then it idles fine.

Just an update. Won the FCP pcv kit on eBay for 74 bones plus s/h. BOO YEAH! Now when that gets here. I gotta jump on putting it in. I am wicked excited about this cat and its not even on the road yet.

Don't get too excited yet, the FCP kit falls apart in afew short months. Check this forum.

Well I will see how it turns out. Everyone has nothing but good things to day about them. Maybe you got a bad part, or you put it on wrong? Not talking trash. Were all humans, we all make mistakes. Just saying I have seen nothing but great reviews and members here even said they were decent.

Regarding starts in cold weather. Something like 25% of Sweden is above the arctic circle. These cars are built to start when it is real cold. I have never had a problem, even at -27 farhenheit.

I'm not in the habit of trashing anybody, just trashing the URO branded PCV kit which is sold by many retailers including FCP. BTW they are my main parts supplier with more than 19 orders to date.

Well dude, just read the thread. The only disgruntled thing people said about fcp was the heater core stinks. I didnt really see one complaint other than that. But after everything is done. I will keep you posted in the progress of the green hornet. I'm sure I'm sure when I clean and replace everything upfront I will get 290k out of her
