looking to buy s70 what should i look out for?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

Ford's first influence on Volvo was the 2004-1/2 S40, which shared a platform with the Mazda3. Not a bad car by any means - and the chassis is fantastic.

98 S70 T5 is all Volvo and still my personal favorite. But i am biased

I'm prejudiced also! Same Year, Model and Color except it was pretty beat up already when I purchased it. I like the Full Head Lights and Curve Hood besides no ETM having read all the problems.

Does a volvo s70 1998 5 speed manual transmision naturally aspirated get 30 mpg only downhill in neutral?

On a long down hill you'll see 99 MPG to 100 MPG on the Trip Computer when the car is in Neutral. This goes for the Automatics also but your Alignment must be almost Zero Toe In.

However when you are going 45 mph steady on the highway with a stick shift how much mpg can i expext?

Probably 35-38 at 45. I've done that at 55-60 in an automatic turbo.

But who goes 45 on the highway?!?

Here in Nicaragua 45 mph on the highway is a typical speed.

So i can expect 35 mpg at 45 mph on highway and how much mpg can i expect in city in stop and go traffic?
the 35 mpg is a little higher than than us epa estimate of 27 mpg highway.

us highway spec is based on 55 mph. Although it should be bumped to 65
