850 and S/V/C70 non-turbo vacuum lines

Here is another diagram from my '98 V70. It shows no lines on the vacuum tree. Im assuming the one going to the purge valve is coming from the intake manifold and not the throttle body. When I look at the tree there is one line hooked up but the other end is disconnected and I can't quite tell where it goes or if I should just remove it per the diagram. Any thoughts? My best guess from the way it is shaped is it went to the bottom of the air cleaner box.

There a vacuum motor for the air cleaner temp door on the air cleaner where that connects. It might stop at a regulator in the air cleaner like my 2005 first.

Wait a minute Jjmtjordan...where is your fuel pressure regulator?? I thought all cars pre 99 had to have an FPR?
Btw,my early production 1999 ( nov 98) had the 98 vacuum hose diagram sticker under the hood....Fail. Half the stuff there isn't on the car, which is ME7

The 98 S70 that I just engine-swapped has a similar diagram, i.e. shows nothing at the tree, but came with one factory line there, from the tree to the air box bottom.

FPR is probably back near the fuel filter, I bet Jjmtjordan's V70 has a damper at the fuel rail with no vacuum port on it.

My 98 s70t5 has its FPR attached below and behind the engine. Just above the passenger side axle. If that helps.

Vacuum line #1 is routed behind the engine via a tiny metal tube with rubber line on each end. The fpr itself, and a port on the intake tubing just after the MAF.

Vacuum line #2 is a hard line. Rubber elbow out of intake manifold near the IAC. To the hard line up over and behind my fuel rail following the fuel line down to the FPR. Hope that helps.

Also yes, the pulse damper is fixed under the rail near injector #2.

Note that Jjmtjordan is working on a non-turbo, this whole thread is about non-turbos. They don't have that little tiny metal tube that hooks up with the snorkel tube to the turbo, what you are calling #1. There is a separate thread for turbo cars, see the very first sentence of the first post.

When I started looking for missing vacuum lines after looking at the pictures Erik had posted I saw in the same place the FPR is located a device with no vacuum line so it must be what Erik was calling a damper. I bought the car used and the previous owner might not told me everything about the vehicle but for $500 I couldn't pass it up.
