I'm on mobile so will not look it up but it's called a clamp of some kind and each half is a replicate of the same part number. I think it is unlikely because a fair bit of filler pipe extends beyond the clamp but bottom line yep, could be.

Well I will jump in on this post as I am having a PO455 and am experiencing the inability to fill the tank normally. I have replaced the purge valve in the fan shroud with an OEM valve as that was an easy one to eliminate. Still have the issue. Next up is to replace the J and L hose on the canister as they were showing signs of cracks. (my 98 V70 has the canister under the right rear side)
One thing I hear mentioned is the vent line. Folks talk about spiders building webs in there and that blocks the line. I cannot seem to find the line. Any help?

Replaced the roll over valve hoses. Found one with a nice crack.

I removed both of those on my car yesterday. Mine weren't cracked but they weren't very flexible. I've spent the day looking for replacement parts. The dealer didn't have them in stock. I bought some 1/4 fuel line and it just wont stretch enough. Heating it, stretching it with a pair of needle nose pliers and lubricating it with a little motor oil just didn't work. I found some 1/4 fuel line at the lawn mower repair place and think I'll have better luck with this tomorrow. The wall thickness is about half and its more stretchable...we'll see. If it doesn't work out there's always the dealer next week. That part is about $13 where I shop.

New parts for the roll over valve tapered rubber tubes ordered today. P0455 came back as it always does this afternoon. The only thing that I know of that I haven't replaced is the tapered tube on top of the fuel tank. I guess I'm going to have to just do it. I did an inspection of things I've previously replaced and there is a short section of vacuum tubing that I replaced two years ago that wasn't fuel rated. I guess I'll replace that with fuel line. Anyhow, starting to get really frustrated, not an easy thing to troubleshoot.

Well the loyal friend showed up today. Now back at it shaking the code down. Instead of showing up in 5 miles it took about 125 to rear it's ugly head.

I actually wrote a poem about it. I didn't post it because I thought I might be breaking forum rules for being off topic. It brings a little levity to a frustrating problem. Some of my poems are serious but this one is one of the "just for fun" category. Of course, P0455 is a serious issue at smog inspection time.

I'm thinking of removing the plastic fitting where the small vacuum line off the intake manifold and the 5/8 hose mod at the intake side of the throttle meet and gooping the joint up with RTV sealant like everyone else. Its the poorly designed joint with the flame arrestor in it. I tried to address the possible leak there first by replacing the o-ring and when that didn't work I bought a new fitting and new elbow. The new parts fit so tight it was tough to get them assembled. The problem is that the heater hose which is pretty stiff doesn't allow the joint to be screwed together all the way (only about 75%) to "closed". It seemed far enough to me but it still may leak there. Only when its fully engaged are the parts close enough together for the o-ring to seat.

I plan to do the tapered hose on top of the fuel tank when I get time but based on the condition of the two short hoses on the roll over valve I doubt that its the problem.

My loyal friend just showed up P0440. I just replaced the Purge Valve with Pierburgh brand.
All these loyal friends can wait because the EVAP issue is not urgent.
Too cold now to play with it.
I told my loyal friends to leave my house and I will talk to them in April, when the weather is warmer.
