I just re-read bmdubya1198's great write up.
I'm glad that worked for you and I'm happy my write up may have helped you.
In it, he wrote "One screw (second one in from the driver's side) didn't line up quite right, but the other three hold the dash good enough for me. "
That happened to me as well an at least in my case, it was due to me applying too much material to the lowest portion of the mount and that caused it to ride too high when put in the car. I figured this out by using some white paint on the end of a qtip and trying to put it in the screw hole. I could feel the qtip hit something. I then took the dash out and there was a white spot below the mounting hole which indicated the hole was riding too high.. I shaved off a bit of my fiberglass cloth from the bottom of the mount, applied a little cement to just cover the frayed fiberglass and once dry, tried again. This time the bolt went in without an issue.

As of today, the dash is still holding beautifully! Fortunately the screw has not been a problem for me thus far.
I don’t remember exactly, but I think the mount was slightly too far to the passenger side. It was enough for the screw to grab, but it was unable to be threaded in to the point that it fully seated.
It’s been so nice to drive on the highway without the noise!
