'98 V70 Serpentine Belt Tensioner Shredding Timing Cover?

It happened to me when buying new struts, got several new that were faulty (Amazon purchase, a seller was selling only quality check rejects).

Most of the time these problems happen when one pays a price significantly lower than the normal market price at other sellers on the same parts.

That's what seems to have happened with my new tensioner. INA box, Litens pulley. Very weird. And I got it from FCP of all places! I don't think it's causing an issue currently, though.
