I read a reference to a recall on these pumps, now long expired? Was it because the plastic housing broke? I didn't see anything about that in the PO's records, so I doubt it got done.

Called a Seattle Volvo dealer service desk - there is no open recall on anything on my car. That fuel pump thing was long ago and involved a bad batch of pumps from the supplier. It was only a specific range of VIN's.
