Fuel line fittings at tank / fuel pump

I have a 2000 V40 which has leaking fittings at the fuel tank / pump. It appears the fittings are not sealing, and the fuel is coming out the end. They do not appear to be cracked.

1. What are these fittings called?

2. Is this a standard fitting, or unique to Volvo?

3. I understand some use o-rings. Do these use o-rings, and if so what size?

4. Is there a source for replacement fittings or o-rings?

I see that Volvo parts 30620511 and 30620510 (shown in "Fuel tank and connecting parts", both called "fuel pipe") are available, but are cost prohibitive.

Have similar problem, my fuel filter return attachment is kinda borke so was thinking about replacing the connector but the price is so! high, unveliebable, for a simple piece of plastic...

I never fixed it. Donated the car to charity. If I needed it to be fixed, I likely would have bought a length of generic high pressure fuel line and used hose clamps - but even that would have been more than a few dollars.

Hard to tell which is the supply or return pipe on the website description.

Regardless, I understand trying to cobble something together, but If it was me, I'd fork over the extra $ for the factory part to save aggravation and time. Still not cheap.

Curious if that is an aftermarket pump in the photos above since it doesn't look like the one in the factory part diagram.
Asking because I've had poor luck with aftermarket fuel pumps on my S40. Leaks and failures.
I ended up going with a factory pump. More money, but it's been much more reliable.

I don't recall. We originally bought the car in 2002 used from the dealer. It's possible one of the mechanics we had work on it replaced it. I just don't' remember.

The prices you've found are less than I remember when I first had the problem.
