My recommendation is to take the swatches off the card, label them with sharpie on the back and hold up individual swatches, one at a time to match them. Interference from neighboring swatches will defeat a close match if you try to do it with them still on the card.

P80 seats are the same from 1994-2000 I believe
Would 1998 S70 Front Seats fit 1997 850?

Alternatively, would swapping driver's with passenger's work -- just the butt-seat portion? It is manually operated.

Believe so. Bottom parts swap, top parts need slight mods for lumbar and adjust knobs.

TLDR - if you want the factory look a C70 to S70 seat skin swap does not work. Its ok, but not perfect

I recently scored some nice C70 seats and swapped skins onto Evita the 1999 S70

The seat bottoms fit perfectly.

The seat backs are different - there are several differences in positions and bolsters. It look ok cosmetically but some parts of the leather tags are visible - not for the purist.

GIven they were $100 vs 4x $350 I can live with it.

Summary of differences

They aren’t.

:D

The headrest holes are spaced differently

The mount on the bottom of the seat back skin is a bayonet type, vs hog rings on the S/V70

Accessory handles slightly different

Extra handle for the tip forward function

Seat bottom and foam are identical

Seat back foam is not -,and C70 cars kept mechanical SIPS longer than the S/V70 chassis so the seat back foam won’t match a 1999- S/V70

Im still getting the seat back tight and finalized but it looks ok and feels great

Pictures to come - some here

Hey guys, I know seat skins are not getting any better with time. SCP is having issues with manufacturing due to the virus. Hopefully we will gain some progress this fall. A full set of skins for under $300 per seat OEM factory quality is a real deal. Go ask any upholtry shop. I was quoted $950 for 2 front seats on my T-5R with me providing the alcantara. Tough business but if you want your interior to look nice, might be worth biting the bullet of the car is in otherwise good shape.

Are these aftermarket seat covers compatible with any internal airbags or other safety measures in the seats? I'm really interested in getting new seat skins.

That’s unknown territory , Firefox. It’s one of the reasons I like finding good used skins. There does seem to be a difference inside the skins on a SIPS car, so I guess skins for the seat back have to stay on the correct side

Who has two thumbs, is a dumba$$, and just realised Volvo seats can adapt to either S/V70 or C70 spaced headrests???
