2004 S60 First cold day of the year, no start issue.

Cranks find, I ordered a coolant temp sensor last week. Going to swap one out and see. Got the iCarsoft Auto Diagnostic Scanner VOL V2.0 for Volvo/SAAB coming in also. Motor cranks fine just doesn’t fire.

Use only genuine for the coolant sensor- even a used one, people had problems with aftermarket from new

There is no brand on the genuine ECT. However it says Japan

Have not checked for spark will do that after I get the scanner in. Tried starting again today it fired then died and would not fire again. After that, I tried swapping the fuel pump relay for a generic one and switching the two but that did not solve the issue. I'm thinking that the used PEM I purchased a few months ago was faulty. I'm going to try and swap the PEM out for a brand new one. This is the coolant temp sensor I purchased, not sure if it is OEM quality or not. here is a quick video I made of trying to start it today. I also noticed an engine light came on. The cheap generic scan tool i have now did not pull a code though. I reset it after though.

Replaced the used PEM I installed 6 months ago with a brand new unit, fired up with no problems. Shut it off started again. Then just tried to start and it wouldn’t fire again.
