What do you think - is it the fuel pump, PEM or FPS?

A mid-size luxury crossover SUV, the Volvo XC90 made its debut in 2002 at the Detroit Motor Show. Recognized for its safety, practicality, and comfort, the XC90 is a popular vehicle around the world. The XC90 proved to be very popular, and very good for Volvo's sales numbers, since its introduction in model year 2003 (North America). P2 platform.

The lifespan of the FPS is anywhere between 50K-200K miles.
The good thing is a bad FPS on ly causes minor hiccups and codes etc., it virtually never leaves you starnded and you have time to replace it.
Bosch is a good brand.

PS: the PEM, when going bad, can leave you starnded. This is why I always carry a spare PEM (either from ebay or junk yard and tested ahead of time) in the trunk.
Exactly my experience on my P2 platform

My PEM failure gave me a pm occasional very sLight miss under load, then a no start a month or two later No codes recorded

My FPS gave me a loss of power for a second or two whil driving, then coded for the sensor itself.
