May update post with a picture of the failed part and name the brand. It lasted about a year or two.

Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Got a lot of junk out, feels better. I'll likely have to replace the LEDs. Attached pictures of "aftermarket" vs old OEM.abscate wrote: ↑12 Jul 2019, 22:03Pretty good writeup on cleaning these herewizechatmgr wrote: ↑12 Jul 2019, 21:49Nope. I assume it's a trick of the camera that the aftermarket one looks a lot bigger?

I replaced mine yesterday with a cheapo one from aliexpress. Doesn't feel as good as a brand new OEM would, but still better than the half broken original

Now I'm getting ready for next week jobs: new discs, 302mm upgrade, braided lines and fix the damn dash (and maybe fix the intercooler mounts if I have enough time)

What size hoses do you need for the 302mm upgrade? Looking to do it on my 850 soon - especially since my insurer doesn't classify it as a modification.
On the topic of insurance though, does anyone actually understand the thought process (or lack thereof) of insurers? Brake upgrade is totally fine and not a mod, but re-installing the factory fit spoiler that my car used to have (I have options list) is a denied modification. What?!

Man, I sure love living in the US... you guys in Europe have some awful insurance. I can do whatever I want to my car with no issues. Well, within reason... North Carolina still has state emissions inspections that require me to have working OBD2 and a catalytic converter.Cookeh wrote: ↑15 Jul 2019, 06:54 What size hoses do you need for the 302mm upgrade?
