Hey Jfife83, it's on the fuel rail.

Here are some handy dandy pictures.

My issue was the vacuum line that you can see me holding in the first picture. The line had swollen and lost its air tight connection.

You need to pull the two bolts on the fuel rail and, replace the vacuum line. Yours may be different depending on model year but they function the same way.

Hope that helps!

The fuel pressure regulator is not on the fuel rail for any S70 cars. That position will have a fuel pressure damper installed, there is no vacuum line to those and I don't think I have ever heard of any problems with a damper.

On a 2000 S70 the FPR is either down on the steering rack or back by the fuel filter. However the FPR still has a vacuum line like on this 850, and you can check the vacuum line once you find the FPR. Also common is the FPR fails inside, you'l know this if the vacuum line reeks badly of gasoline.

My 1999 S70 (Denso engine management) doesn't have a vacuum controlled FPR - the fuel pressure is regulated by pump modulation only.

I think the 2000 continues this, but Ive learned there are enough variations that I don't know about to be careful.

Look at the vacuum line diagram on your hood to see if you see the FPR

I know I mentioned the hood sticker, but use that to go looking for your components, not as Gospel

Volvo put a 1998 sticker on my 1999

I'll second that. Mine says '95 everywhere but is mechanically a '94. Which made for some confusion the first year I owned it
