The middle one still has the correct factory curve.

Got my alignment done. Steering wheel at 11 o clock to drive straight now… doesn’t seem right. I read something about adjusting the steering angle in VIDA, is that easy enough to do so that I don’t have to drive it back into the shop to cry to them about it?
Once I got home, I smelled that wonderful smell of overheated ceramic brake pad. My passenger rear rotor was nearly 500f. Clearly my rotor is sticking. I’m going to try and work it free tomorrow. I need this car for a road trip next week!

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

Those brown protective driveway covers are nice. Can you get those on Amazon?

Passed the 200.000 miles mark
.
Both my oldest son and myself are sharing the car. Average mpg according to the cluster ~23. Mostly high way miles.
Swapped newer parts from the V70 onto our xc70, before it went to the yunk yard
.
Turn stalk, maf sensor, lf tail light, rear hatch struts, cam sensors and grom unit. Still have add the transmission cooler.

S60 wouldn’t start yesterday. Well it would turn over but then it threw what I think was the “Start prevented, try again” immobilizer message (my DIM is in French and I’m not very fluent…) and die immediately. It did this about five times then it finally turned over and stayed running and threw P0600 Serial Communication. I’m going to take a look at VIDA today and hopefully get some answers. Immobilizer is one rabbit hole I never wanted to go down on these cars. It seems like if it’s not the antenna ring it’s a trip to the dealer from what I’ve read….
