Great news!
I'll need more info about this.
I'll get back to you when time comes.
Not sure if i would go for a rebuilt or used good engine.

Does engine breaking lessen (or reverse) the PCV system?

Was about to post that the 1200+ mile drive showed vast drip reduction with less that 1/4 qt oil disappearing.... Then we just did a could hundred miles in the mountains where I did an hour? of engine breaking and found the underside coated with oil down another 3/4 qt for a total on 1q low (2/3 low on the 1.5L dipstick range)

Much less engine motion needed with the auto, you just have to disconnect the flywheel -flex plate bolts and then move it a bit, maybe only 2 cm or so? I’ve never done the separation engine in, so I’m guessing there.

As I recall, the distance needed is about exactly the distance between the crank pulley, and the passenger side inner fender as you lift the engine out. Just enough room to do it.

Any update if it’s gotten better?

I’m in the same situation with my 99’ with a fresh PCV, 5w-40, and some AT-205. Just drove 4 hours today, we’ll see if in the coming days it gets better for me. Really hoping!

This is the last update I have from a few days ago posted above. Haven't driven it since.
