i have the same pin setup on my obd2. It seems some scan gauge do not work. In lamens term... what do i do?

It is strange as I thought there was a problem with 95/96 cars getting an OBD2 read-out on a scanner, but then a friend told me he was able to on his 96 base model. However, there are some that like yours cannot be read.

There are a couple of ways, one is to buy a Vag-Com cable, access to a laptop and down-load vol-fcr software.

I understand you can also built a simple led bulb and wire system that can scan the codes like in the 93-94 cars that have the under hood diagnostic system.

The latter is highlighted on threads on MVS.
