That's what I tell people - Four plugs and a distributer, that's all you have to worry about!

The learning curve and tools were simpler.

When I was your age we used a PUSH mower, and we LIKED it!
Haha!
Yesterday I shopped and priced 2015 to 2018 V60s all over the country, with a couple fairly close to me. They seem to fall in the 15k to 25k range depending on year and mileage. I'm pretty picky about which engine and model, so that narrows it some. I obviously can't afford a Rebel Blue Polestar version, and the base models are a bit boring with a 4-cyl and only FWD. My wife and I were on a walk and a neighbor has a nice looking 2015 AWD I think. We looked in the windows to see how big it was and whether she liked it, and of course the guy pops out the door to check on us. He's very tall and is considering an XC60 for more headroom, so maybe this one will be available.

I'm interested in your data if you wrote it down. Might need to retire my 1995 850 Turbo wagon. Looking at the choices for wagons, there is the V60 cross country & the V90 cross country for more money. And the Subaru Outback for cheap.BlackBart wrote: ↑29 Nov 2023, 11:29 Yesterday I shopped and priced 2015 to 2018 V60s all over the country, with a couple fairly close to me. The cost of a 2015 V60 cross country locally is asking $18k, vs $33k for a 2020-ish. Lots more for a V90. Not interested in a small engine if a bigger is available.
You don't like the current features; is 2019 when a "refresh" added things? When did the Advanced Safety Package come out? What features does a 2020-ish have that a 2015-ish does not?

I browsed V60s in November.
2015 -2018 only. Mileages ranged from 32k to 146k. Prices ranged from 10,700 (probably a salvage title) to 27,000. One was a 2015 Polestar T6 6-cyl R Design with 73,000 mi for $26,000.

First time caller ; longtime lurker. I'm a new (used) owner of a '15 V60. It's my first Volvo and the learning curve has been steeper than ideal. But...I really like the car and have enjoyed the Volvo community. Feels like the VW community back when I owned a real VW Beetle.
I post in the general section here to ask: the title of this forum seems misleading as it is V60 2015+. I wasn't sure if this was for me and started looking for the right one as I'm a 2015.0 and I can't tell if this forum was aimed at 2015.5 and up or...?
From what I can gather, the Gen 1 V60 and Gen 2 S60 are cut from the same cloth so I'd recommend changing the forum title to V60 2010+
As noted, I'm a rookie so if I'm missing something, let me know. I've resolved to attempt to give back to the Volvo community as I've already gained so much from others work in solving issues we're dealing with. Going to put in my $0.05 to the jar now.

Have you checked Euro supplied models. They got many models including P80's like the V70R in manuals. Same with newer models. I know when returning to the UK, finding an automatic car at rental firms is not only a challenge but often you par 2x on the rental.

I thought you could still import cars from other countries as long as they have documentation from the manufacturer that they meet US standards on emissions? My brother imported my 1997 850 8 years ago when it was 21 years old. There is also a company in Canada that imports RHD Japanese cars, and claims to sell them into the US. They include P2's.
