Well I guess that settles that.....

Boys this has really gotten off topic for sure so I am going to try and turn it back around.

As I said from the begining...I have done all of the things everyone have suggested... Oil Filler Cap seal, Replaced the entire Vent System, and well.... not saying that these are all good fixes. The fact remained I still was getting oil on top. The following pictures are showing where the oil was coming from, what I made to plug the hole, and it installed. I know in the end, some day I will have to pull the cam cover to fix it proper way but I feel this will work just fine. Even Volvo in Europe is providing a simular fix so I am ok with my homemade one. Hope all that have this issue arrive at a resolution too.

As for your GLE's I conceed.
Apparently they're everywhere EXCEPT the USA, here we just use 850 on the trunk.
These are base cars with no optional equipment

AJWGATOR,

make sure you not only replace the seal but get a totally new cap. First I replaced the seal only and that did not solve the problem. Only after I replaced the entire filler cap did the leaking oil stop. Just to clarify my post.

JRL, I agree that if all is "right" it is not necessary. The fact still remains that oil slowly fills the port on my Volov to the point it will overflow and collect on top of the cam cover if left unchecked. I now know it is doing that because the sealing area between the top of the head and bottom of the cam cover has failed in the middle area. The last time I cleaned it all out and drove it for 1,000 miles and check it again. The port was half full of oil at that point and no where else. To me that rules out the oil filler cap, seal, and a clogged Turbo PVC Breather systen again and the plug should stop the oil from getting on top of the cam cover.

Jan, I'm glad yours has stop leaking. I will watch this again for another 1k miles and see if any oil shows back up since I installed my plug in the port that is showing in my previous posting. I will report back.
