Just a follow up on the Magic Eraser. I did use it to clean up the replacement door panels and it worked wonders. It is my new favorite detailing product. Thanks to Rondo for the tip.

In our house, the kirkland (costco) baby wipes are magic to us. With a few kids, these wipes are in all rooms, and the car. I love to hit the dash and door while at stop lights. a bit of elbow grease and it gets the crud out of the small scales. Use it on leather seats, front, back, it's just good at removing scuffs and grime from the old battle wagon's interior

I don't want to shell out much over $50 for cosmetics, so I like the thought of magically finding a driver seat at the local pick n pull.

I have the 2000 V70XC, can I get any motorized, heated seat from 98, 99, 00? oh and of course matching my 3960 interior color, or is that year specific?

The driver kidney area of seat is almost through the foam, I am thinking of those greek covers if I don't locate my replacement seat.

There even appears to be a way to add a power passenger seat, but I've never been successful with getting the electrics to work even after adding an auto-resetting circuit breaker to the fuse box in what I am pretty sure was the proper location. Never could get the power to work.

I hope someone can shed some light on this problem, as I replaced the passenger manual seat with electric and it does not work. I haven't had time to check for power to the controls and or seat, but any help would be great as to which wires should be hot.
What and where is the auto-resetting circuit?

The auto-resetting circuit breaker is a smallish silver-colored box only slightly larger in size than a fuse that slots in to a presently-empty slot in the fuse box. There should be one in there already for the driver seat if it is a power seat. Don't recall now whether it is in the main or supplementary fuse box.

about. The fuse for seats may be #35.

On the top photo just visible to the extreme right edge are two silver rectangles just a bit larger than the fuses themselves. I believe these are the auto resetting circuit breakers. Pull one or both then try the power driver's seat and see if you get anywhere trying to move it.

How are the Elwood Industries seats holding up? Any other durable sources out there?
We've about reached the end of the useful life on the tan leather seats on our '97 and I need to replace the seat heaters too, so I'm thinking of tackling the seat leather replacement job. Thanks.

Sold the car a year ago December and there was one deep crack in the bottom cover. Back was still very nice and I had not maintained them per Elwood's instructions. I'd do the Elwood's again in a dark color. Not so sure about light colors.

I'd have to look back for my install date, but I think you could get a good ten years out of them if properly maintained.

Car was used 7/week under my ownership and I put about 20k miles a year on those seat covers so they were very good for 160k miles.
