Re: 2000 Volvos S80 misfire
At this point can you hook up a scanner and read engine parameters to get more info?

Nope, it doesn't have any bearing on engine management. The only time the abs has any say in the matter is when the traction control kicks in and retards the throttle.jaru wrote:Is anybody out there who knows whether a bad ABS Module would shut down the engine, or to a point where the engine will only idle?

Hello again, forgot to ask what does fuel sys 1 open and fuel sys 2 open mean.
I replaced the fuel filter and while doing that I check the fuel pump. It seemed to me that the pump was working fine. The pressure at the fuel rail was above 50 psi. I checked also each injector individually by applying 12VDC to them and spraying fluid through them. They all work as well.Usually I can keep the car running in idle for a long time, but it will die as soon as I give it gas. I don't get any DTC anymore and so far have been unable to retrieve any freeze frames.

Please take another set of readings fully warm, this one shows 21deg. Celsius. You should be at 90-100 deg. Fuel system open is because engine's cold and operates in open loop. Only thing that I believe is off in these readings is MAF which is high even though idle is at 740. Perhaps someone else could chime in with their reading to compare.

The only thing I see if MAF being very high, rule of thumb is 1g per liter displacement. I am getting 2.7 for my 2.5 liter engine, so you should be at about 3 g/s at idle fully warm. I was hoping we'd get anothet reading from a member. I'd also try a throttle swipe test.
